Know its limits.

A timestamp and a clear limitation are part of the information—not small print.

Freshness is visible

Camera and HDB records use source timestamps where supplied. An image or count older than ten minutes is labelled out of date; missing or invalid times remain unknown. For LTA responses without a source timestamp, we show retrieval time and do not pretend it is the time of the event.

Successful responses are cached briefly at the edge. Camera and parking adapters request roughly one-minute caching, bus arrivals twenty seconds, and less volatile datasets longer. An unavailable source is never replaced with fabricated data. Some feeds require a site-owner API key before they can operate.

Licensing and attribution

Government datasets are used under the applicable Singapore Open Data Licence and source-specific conditions. Attribution is displayed next to data. Camera URLs are displayed as supplied; SGOnTime does not build a historical image archive. Rights to third-party material are not implied by access to an API.
