October 2026: new visual signs begin.
LTA says new road markings and signs are being introduced progressively from October 2026, ahead of the ERP 2 launch on 1 January 2027.
1 January 2027: the announced system transition.
LTA says Singapore-registered motor vehicles must have an On-Board Unit to travel on public roads when the transition takes effect. Consult the official requirements for your vehicle and installation status.
A technology change is not a new price estimate.
The transition does not justify assuming a distance-based fare or treating old rate tables as permanently valid. Check the current official congestion charges.
